This 2022 Grand Design Solitude 380FL-R is an amazing, large 5th wheel that could easily be a class A diesel pusher alternative. It seems like everything about it is high end. Grand Design’s parent company, Winnebago is really good at keeping in touch with their customers and making detail changes based on the input of these buyers. And you can sure tell with the awesome layout and features of this unit!
One example is the back bedroom which sits on the deck above the other raised section, and that’s where there’s storage galore in this unit. Under that back bedroom there are large storage bays on both the road and camp side of this trailer. In the middle is a huge sliding tray to put even more of your stuff.
Another unique feature is that there’s a 1/2 bathroom just off the kitchen that you can get to with the slide rooms in. So this large rig is actually a great rig for travel mode.
Some other great features include a central vacuum, huge residential refrigerator with an ice maker, 2 power awnings with LEDs, a fireplace and 2 theater power recliners with heat and massage. This unit also has the Solar package including a 300W solar panel, 30 Amp Controller, and 2000W Inverter. The owner upgraded the hitch to a Reese “The Goose Box” gooseneck coupler-5th Airborne technology. The original MORryde pin box hitch is also included.
The Compass Connect app can be downloaded to your phone to control lighting, slide-outs, leveling, awnings, and notify you of system status.
