2018 HIGHLAND RIDGE OPEN RANGE 3X 387RBS FIFTH WHEEL!
The current owner of this 387RBS is the second owner.
This owner made modifications in this RV to suit her lifestyle.
For example, burdened by high propane costs and the hassle of continually having to transport and refill propane tanks, she opted for the patented CheapHeat System. The professionally installed CheapHeat System is mounted directly downstream of the existing propane furnace and employs tungsten heating coils powered by 120 or 240-volts AC to provide the heat. The 12-volt DC fan motor on the furnace then pushes the heated air throughout the distribution ducting in the coach. It can be configured into three different wattage ratings, 1,800, 3,750 and 5,000 watts, depending on the shore power cord limitations.
Please note, all the propane infrastructure is still intact giving one the choice of the CHEAPHEAT system or use of propane.
Other modifications made include the conversion of the 1/2 bath near the kitchen to a pantry. The toilet was removed, and the flooring was sealed properly. New vinyl flooring was installed. This pantry can be reconverted back to a half bath with minimal effort.
The RV is equipped with a SPLENDIDE Washer/Dryer combo unit.
Other modifications include the removal of the original, moderate-quality couches. The only furniture included with the RV is the recliner shown in pictures.
All the original carpet was removed and the wood underlayment sealed 3 times with HENRY’s Wood sealer before new vinyl flooring was installed.
Quality light filtering draperies were added and are included with the purchase of the RV.
Also included if desired is the quality made 6’X6′ wood stairs and deck. It is designed to be disassembled and then reassembled and stores easily in the large exterior storage bay.
