Central Listings

While we try to cover a large area of the country, if your listing resides in a remote location with no area representative, we assign it as a CENTRAL listing.

The listing still appears on our network and is handled by a central eligible rep, but typically is too far away for photo and video shoots.
In this case, you can simply use your phone to take a few photos to improve your listing for potential buyers.

This quick guide shows how to take the proper size and format photos to improve your listing.

  1. Be sure the camera on your phone is set to the proper aspect ratio.
Buyers like to see wide photos, so please set your phone’s camera to an aspect ratio of 9:16.
The default on most phones is 3:4, which will work, but wider is better.
  2. Hold your camera sideways for “landscape” format. This simply allows a wider photo.
This is pretty much a required format in order for us to add the photos to your listing.
  3. Set up the scene: Be sure to have all the slides out on RVs. Be sure to have all the day-night shades open and if possible, have all the vessel or RV lights on. Be sure all personal items are out of view and the boat or RV looks clean.  The idea is to have it look as close as possible to how it will look when the buyer takes delivery.
  4. Email us the photos. When sending photos, please do not compress them, send the photos in the same size as your phone stores them, which is typically around 2Mb in size. If your email account does not allow multiple large photos, just send them one or two at a time in multiple email messages. Gmail is pretty good for handling larger email messages.

Bonus: If you know how to take a video, you can also send a video. No need to edit it, just hold your phone sideways (landscape) and walk around the outside, then walk into the boat or RV and pan around the main living area, driver or helm area, head/bathroom, and the sleeping quarters. If you can’t send a large video file, just send several small video clips and we’ll do the rest. Feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Thanks!
